Licensing & Microchipping

We have officially partnered with DocuPet for licensing pets in Yolo County!

Licensing your pet protects public health by ensuring they’re vaccinated against rabies. It also increases the chances of a safe return if your pet gets lost.

Microchips

Microchipping your pet provides a permanent, reliable way to reunite you if they ever get lost. Unlike collars or tags, microchips can't fall off or be removed, giving your pet a better chance of making it home safely.

All animals adopted from our shelter are microchipped. If you have a pet that needs a microchip, bring them to our shelter during business hours to purchase a chip.
